In February 2010, Tragedy struck Chile.
An 8.8 earthquake & tsunami destroyed almost everything standing leaving thousands of people affected by it.
Chileanmetal owner & Pirosaint’s drummer Ignacio Orellana came up with an idea that could unite a group of musicians to create a song to help the victims of the catastrophe.
‘Give help to yourself, when you help others’ was born, and it has two versions.
- Give help to yourself (when you help others) was mixed and mastered by Caio Duarte in Brasilia, Brazil.
- Ayudanos hoy! was mixed and mastered by Juan Pablo Donoso at Sade Studios, Chile.
The song was written by drummer Ignacio Orellana, drums ( Pirosaint -USA-, Quemasantos -USA-) and he collaborated with Sebastian Osorio, guitars ( Reigning -Chile-), Daniel Duarte, Spanish Vocals ( Execrator -Chile- ), Laura Vargas, Spanish & English vocals Sacramento -Chile- ), Francisco Martin, Bass (Kanatran, The Gardnerz -Sweden- ) and Caio Duarte, English Vocals (Dynahead -Brazil-).
Here below, you can watch the video that renowned director, Carlos Toro of Productora Abysmo had made for the Spanish version, Ayudanos Hoy!.
Everyone recorded its parts by itself.
This was our first attempted to record drums on midi format using a Alesis drum set and the Cubasis/EzDrummer.
